' BEFORE YOU SAY I DO '

Its saturday again and the TGIF ( thank God its friday ) fever is over at least for this week for alot of 9-5 workers are always excited and dream of an everyday friday if nature could allow that.

For me its always an interesting day for it affords me time to re-visit my design collections again before i introduce them to prospective clients and also a great time to keep searching for that media, marketing or brand and advertising agency that would want to employ my services due to my experience, creative high level and passion for work in those industries.
And just as i decide to settle down in my living room to begin the usual saturday activity ,something profound struck me and i decided to do this article.
i have realised the number of marriages that has taken place in this past few months and though for me its a thing of joy but then taking a second thought at it  i have realised that alot of couples keep walking down the aisle without totally understanding what they are going into which as resulted in alot of batteries, divorce, uneccessary hatered that has even led to killings of all types not only in Nigeria but across nations around the world.

Do singles before getting married ask themselves this questions - why am i getting married? - Is love ever going to be enough to sustain us both till death do us part? - Why am i attracted to him or her and is it enough to get married to him or her? - If i can not live with this persons habits or character now will i be able to live with it after being married? - Does this person complete me or am just attracted to the status, luxury, or because he is so handsome and every lady wants him or she is so beautiful and all the men wants her? - Etc

See alot of questions needs to be asked before you decide to walk down the aisle to get married and its quite unfortunate young men and women of this time and age are too impatient to do so. To a large extent i should blame some of our families and society at large too for they put so much pressure on this single one's and some go ahead to persuade their children to marry persons from a certain class which if you ask me is so wrong for marriage is no respecter of class for if you are not destined to be together by God who knows all things then its end would be regrettable.

i say this alot to my friends that no matter how much of thousands or millions that is being spent on a couples wedding day and the number of guests that grace the wedding which is only going to be for that day and that day alone it will not save the marriage which is meant to be for a life time when problems begin to surface.

What i am now saying is lets not all be beclouded by the razzmatazz and flambouyancy, spending spree, status show-off and many others which is only meant for a day which is the day of the wedding and focus more on putting the right things into consideration before saying ' I DO ' which would make your marriage which is for a life time worthwhile.

Thank you for your time and pray this article would be of help to you all out there about to tie the knot. As for me i am going back to working on my designs and finding my employers... Later

MY SWEET VALENTINE

Its a beautiful afternoon back here and while am on the internet uploading new designs for my fashion-line i just couldnt help but notice lots of tweets , facebook messages, webbies and loads of others all talking so much about valentine and all the supposed romance and love that comes with the season.
Then i begin to wonder if this millions of people really do understand the true story behind Valentine, the sacrifice that had to be paid in order for a day like this to be celebrated hundred of years later in different countries all over the world.

Like the word of truth says ' for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whomso ever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life '  to me this is the greatest love gift ever to be given to man and the man named st. valentine came close to this form of sacrifice for as a roman priest he secretly married young lovers together in marriage against the decree of the king Claudius ll who prefered single soldiers other than married one's who wouldnt give their best at the war front because they had their wives and kids to live for while the single ones had nothing to live for than give their best at the war front.

For this reason the roman priest st. Valentine was handed over to Austerios to be jailed and was later beaten, stoned and decapited but before he died he and his jailer's daughter fell for one another and she kept visiting him in jail till the day of his death which was the day he sent her a written letter which was titled ' My Valentine ' .

Now with this very touching story which has influenced us today to celebrate this day February 14, how many of you can sacrifice your life for the love you believe in or the truth you believe or the man or woman you are so in love with like you claim?

This is just to let you all know that valentine is beyond buying expensive items for just that one person but a time to extend the love to that neighbour who cant afford a good shoe, that friend at work who needs someone to show abit of care, that person who can not  afford a meal a day that family you see with so much tears in their eyes and you choose not to help when you sure can.

I have alot to write  but have to go get ready for a program now.... Show love this season and be someone's sweet Valentine.

Am thinking aloud

hello people, am glad to be writing this note after such a long time coming. my first post here is sure about what i believe should concern us all as first a people and then collectively as Nigerians.
My concern here is about the spat at which major food eatries in the country seems to be exploiting us all, you walk into an eatry to buy food like prolly rice and chicken and you get a bill of about 1200naira or more and am like what exactly is going on and people seem to be keeping quiet. Isnt food meant to be easily affordable like it is in the western world?
Then it puzzles me to believe that if the right control system meant to check this eatries excesses are not doing their job effectlively then bribery and corruption is at work.
Then i think about it again that what if this eatries have paid so much to the control system in order to thrive then it only means they would want to recoup every dim spent in a short while which still boils down to the fact that the reason why eatries charge us indiscrimately, the reason why companies like Dstv can conviniently charge us like we owe them from our past life, why Mtn and some other telecom companies can do what ever they choose by not measuring up good service with the amount Nigerians pay them every second and not apologize about it and many other companies like that is because those in power have been compromised and we are left to suffer.
Think about it this way people, do you think if a company like bambala ( doesnt exist ) comes into Nigeria today to do business and the government or required control system gives them stiff policies to work with while they do business in our country without the government or control system comprimising dont you think they would perform better? Dont you think when ever they faulter in their service delievry dont you think they would be quick to make amends, apologize and also settle Nigerians so their brand doesnt get thrown off the country?

Its time we as a people stand up to this mode of financial and mental oppression we are being subjected to in this country..
Nigerians are hard working and we shouldnt be paid back this way for all we want is the government or rather the control system to begin to check this foreigners who come here to rake so much money away from us and take the money back to their country without doing as much back to the Nigerian soicety.

The truth they say is bitter i pray this article gets someones attention out there to cause a change to better the lifes of Nigerians and lastly i still dont understand how Dana airlines came back into operations so soon.... hmmmmmnnnnnnn.

Have a great week my awesome readers....
